The German Association of Independent Performing Arts invites to the Hebbel am Ufer theatres (HAU) in Berlin for UTOPIA.NOW, the federal congress of independent performing arts, from January 16th – 19th, 2020. As the title UTOPIA.NOW indicates the focus will be on the future and its development discussed by artisty who are active in the independent performing arts, as well as representatives from politics and public administration.
Burning topics for this days are the Freedoms of Art, Social Situation, Education and Training, Cultural Education, Spaces and Regions, Europe & International, Diversity, Sustainability and Solidarity.
Ulrike Kuner, Chairwoman of EAIPA, will moderate the discussion with Sabine Verheyen, chair of the committee on culture and education, Janina Benduski, chair of the German Association of Independent Performing Arts board, and Frank Heuel, director Fringe Ensemble about the european politics of culture.
